Welcome to MVP Samaj's Commerce, Management & Computer Science College central Library website. In 21^st century librarian’s role become more complex and dynamic. The library is a backbone and heart of any academic institution. Our library has a good collection of books and Journals. The Library has a collection of more than 10581 books covering almost Commerce, Management and Computer Science Books. OPAC facility is made available to the students as well as staff. Internet facility and printing facilities are made available to the students and staff.

The Library is automated using "Auto-Lib" library automation software which is developed by iT- Software's Nashik. Almost all operations and services are computerized to provide efficient and effective services to the users

Library is the heart of an organisation or institution. Library plays vital role in the development of the students as well as the faculty members. Library is trinity of students, staff members and Resources. Library builds collection and create tools to support teaching and learning and provide better services to its users. M.V.P.S.'s Commerce, Management and Computer Science College has established its own library in the year-2006-07. Since then the library has made consistent progress in terms of collection and services. The collection includes General Books, Text Books, Reference Books, Competitive Exam Books, Journals and News Papers.  The Library is automated with "Auto-Lib"  library management system with bar-code technology. Newspaper clippings of the activities carried out during the year are maintained in the library. One of our goals is to make learning resources available to the students and staff effectively.

Library Membership is available only to

• The Bonafide Students and Teaching Staff only.
• Management Staff of the Parent Institution.
• All Registered M. Phil. / Ph. D. Research Students of the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

Rules about Identity Card

• Every registered member must carry his own Identity Card.
• Without proper Identity Card, Library Reading Materials shall not be issued.
• Each member should display Identity Card to the concerned Library Authority at the Library Entrance and the Circulation Counter.
• Identity Card is valid for the current academic year only.
• In the event of loss of Identity Card, the holder of this card must bring this to the notice of the Principal or Librarian.

Rules about Book Circulation

• A book will be issued to a member only in exchange for one registered his/her member account.
• A book should be returned to the Library on or before due date. If it is not returned in due period, the member should pay the corresponding fine.
• Journals, Dictionaries, Bound Volumes and other research documents cannot be take on Library Account or Identity Card except with the permission of the concerned Library Authority.
• In case a book is issued for Reading Room purpose, it will be issued on authorized Identity Card and this book must be returned the same day.
• Before leaving the circulation counter, a member shall satisfy himself as to whether the book lent to him is in sound condition, and if not, he shall immediately bring the matter to the notice of the circulation assistant. Otherwise at the time of the returning of the book he/she is liable to be asked to pay the purchase cost of the new copy of the book.

§   Reference Services –

On demand reference service provided to the students & faculty members by using open sources on internet and encyclopedia.

§   Circulation –

Issue and return of reading material such as Books, Text and Reference Books. Journal & Periodicals, Project reports, Multimedia etc.

§   Library automation-

The library is automated using "Auto- Lib " Software (by IT-Soft, Nashik). Bibliographic data of all library collection is added to the database. Bar-coding technology is also implemented for library operations i.e. Issue and Return of books etc.

§   Total number of computers for public access: 04

§   Total numbers of printers for public access: 01

§   Internet band width/ speed: 10 Mbps

§   Participation in Resource sharing networks/consortia (like Inflibnet): N LIST

§   Internet Facility –

Separate E- library with 4 computers with internet connection is provided to the student. Students can access and download information of their topic or interested subject.

Online Public Access Catalogue facility is provided to the students & staffs in Library.

§   Inter Library Loan –

Y.C.M.O.University Center Library and Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj’s Senior College libraries are connected with each other and avail facility of inter library loan for any resources.

§   Catalogue –

List of books, journals and periodicals, C.D., etc. available.

§   News paper Clippings –

Library maintains News paper Clippings of activities carried out by the college.

§   Power Backup –

Power backup facility of 3 KVA is provided to all computers in the library.

§   E-mail Services –

On demand soft copy of syllabus, question papers etc. are provided to the students & faculty members by using e-mail service.

§   Information Display and Notification –

Library information such as new arrivals, Library Rules, Journal List, Notices, News Paper clippings, etc. are displayed on Library Notice Board from time to time.

§   Library Website -

Our Librarian has developed a separate library website with google sites.

§   Lost & Found Display Board -

A separate Display board has provided in library to display the lost belongings of students found in college premises.
